Susette grinned, her long black hair hanging oilily in front of her face, head tipped slightly down, giving her an almost eerie appearance. Su, however, did not care whatsoever as to how creepy she may appear at that moment in time.
Susette Francis Ronalds was giddily overjoyed.
The experiment had worked.
It was a complex issue, and it had taken quite a bit of challenge to get it to eventually work. Things weren't like they were back in the beginning of the milennium – most of the research necessary for this to work had been legal, and much progress had been made since the unfortunate death of Dolly the sheep. It was the year 2381, now, and things were changing.
Su had finally cloned the first human being.
There were, of course, ethical issues with it still. It was considered highly unethical to clone a living being, in the case of a human cloning even succeeding, and cloning a dead human would possibly not be legal once they made a law about it – but she would deal with that later. She'd hide her current specimen and then clone one of the dead infants from their bunch, for now, claim the child was her first success.
She had all the equipment necessary in her home lab – everything was taken care of.
Her love would never leave her again.

Sane Asylum
"I'm sane, I tell you! Sane! S-A-N-E! Sane! Why are you putting me in here?! I'm sane!" Charles struggled against the nurses' arms. "Let me go!"
The nurses tossed him into the cell and slammed the door shut behind him. Charles began banging on the door and continued to do so even after he knew the nurses who had brought him there were long gone. Finally, he slumped against the door.
"But I'm not crazy..." he whimpered.
"Of course you aren't," a voice behind him said soberly. "Why else would you be here?"
Charles whipped around suddenly aware that he was not alone.
"Who are-" he began, but the woman sitting before him waved him silent.

Asylum
It was dark. Very dark.
I opened my eyes: It was just as dark.
I sat bolt upright. Something moved. Maybe it was just air movement, but that rarely happened here. My room is 6 feet by 7 feet by 10 feet. This is where I live. A box. There is a single bed across the far side of the room with a thin sheet and blanket, which was currently wrapped around me. The walls are made of metal and stone so it was often cold. There is one wall, however, that looked onto the corridor. That wall is made of plastic. A thick plastic window that made me feel like an animal in a zoo.
Sometimes people in white overalls would come and look at me through the win

The Insane
I see the blood run down my face
I see the anger in my eyes
A Fiery rage
Which none dare defy
The insane control my body
The insane stole it from me
The insane use it for their own
The insane control me
I float above and below
I am everywhere, but have no form
I look into my own bloodshot eyes
And my mind feels as if it will transform
I want to feel the warm embrace of my family
Yet The Insane poison their minds
I want to go home
With their hearts, mine is intwined
Yet the insane kill them
one by one
while I stand and watch helplessly
there was nothing I could have done
First my father
then my mother
My older sister

Even after reading the entire wiki article on cloning, this uberly sci-fi and totally not-sciencey, but it's sort of inavoidable since cloning in RL has as of yet yet to be successful, so, um, yeah. >>
Anywaaays. This was inspired by the Zeromancer song “Clone Your Lover”, which immediately made me think – heeeey. That'd be a cool story. And damn, that dude has cool hair! I want that hair! Oh, wait, about that story... Hrrrmmm... Or something like that.
So, um, yeah. I kinda planned to have it go on longer earlier, and to have a shorter part at the beginning than I did... oO It sorta, like, lopsided, from how I'd planned it, actually. I could make it longer, actually, but I'm not sure I wanna. I~ dunno. I'm really liking the nickname “Su”, now though. xD So I might.
